Santa Maria Community Services, Inc. is pleased to announce that Jaime Mutter has been promoted and accepted a new position as Every Child Succeeds Director.

Mutter has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education with a minor in English from Northern Kentucky University and Master of Arts degree in Education from Marygrove College with a focus in inclusive classrooms.  Before coming to Santa Maria, Mutter taught elementary education and preschool. She also taught English Composition and Literature at Brown Mackie College. Mutter considers herself to be a lifelong learner with over 20 years in the education and nonprofit fields. She has experience in family advocacy, education, early childhood development, school readiness, and leadership.

Mutter began her career at Santa Maria as a home visitor for the Promoting Our Preschoolers (POP) program and then transitioned to a program supervisor in 2014. Through her role in Santa Maria’s POP program, she has been part of the Supporting Partnerships to Assure Ready Kids (SPARK) collaborative for the last 10 years, where she has worked as a family support advocate providing kindergarten readiness and case management to families in the Price Hill neighborhood. When she came to Santa Maria 13 years ago, Mutter felt like she had finally found her home. “I have fallen in love with the Price Hill Community and the families I have worked with over the years,” Mutter said, “I feel honored to be able to grow into a leadership position while still staying committed to our mission and the families we work with.”

H.A. Musser, Jr., President and CEO of Santa Maria Community Services, Inc., welcomed Mutter to her new role, “We are excited about Jaime being promoted to this new leadership role at Santa Maria. Her 13 years of experience in our early childhood home visitation program make her highly-qualified to serve as our Every Child Succeeds Director.”

Mutter replaces Julie McGregor who was recently promoted to Chief Program Officer. McGregor said, “Jaime’s wealth of experience and knowledge in early childhood, management, and the community as well as her passion for the work make her highly-qualified to serve in this position.”
