Santa Maria Community Services, along with partners and funders Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cincy-Cinco, and the Ohio Commission on Minority Health, held the 2017 annual Spring Health Fair on April 9 at the Price Hill Recreation Center. The event provided free health screenings for blood pressure, BMI, depression, glucose, STI, pregnancy, dental health, vision, hearing, and more. A Kid’s Health Zone, Zumba, and additional free health resources from community health organizations were also offered at the fair. The event included 160 attendees and 129 volunteers, including student groups who came from Mount St. Joseph University, University of Cincinnati Medicine and Physical Therapy, Northern Kentucky University Latino Mentor Program, students in partnership with the Hispanic Chamber, and more.
