Accounting Supervisor (Full-Time)

We are currently looking for a Full-Time Accounting Supervisor to help support our mission.
Overview: Responsible for day-to-day management of agency Accounts Payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and accurate manual and digital records. Provide supervision and oversight of the Accounts Payable Assistant. Responsible for day-to-day management of agency Payroll processes including timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions and related fringe benefits, distribution of annual tax forms, and time and attendance reporting. Responsible for bookkeeping for subsidiary. Assist CFO with production of accurate & timely financial reporting for internal & external use. Assist CFO in management of agency cash flow and make weekly bank deposits. Preparation of required invoices and tracking/reporting of agency contracts/funders as needed/assigned. Assist CFO with finance operations and make recommendations on ways to improve processes and maintain compliance with all funder requirements and accounting standards. Work closely with Program Directors and Executive Staff to review program financial statements and funding budgets. Assist CFO with annual audit & 990 preparation. Adhere to agency policy, procedures and the professional code of ethics. Seek relevant training opportunities for professional growth and development. Participate in regular staff meetings, staff training programs and supervisory sessions. Satisfactorily complete any other special assignments as requested by supervisor.
This position pays $60,000 annually.
Position Requirements:
Significant experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated fund accounting, compliance and reporting. Must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace. Evidence of high level of motivation, initiative, perseverance, and independent judgement. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and oral communication skills. A strong sense of and respect for confidentiality involving both fellow employees and clients.

Required Experience and Qualifications |
Bachelors degree in accounting, business operations, or a related field and 5+ years experience or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
