Volunteer Opportunities at Santa Maria
General Volunteer Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Friday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
One-Time Service
Food Distribution at East Price Hill Community Center
Every Tuesday 12 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Every Friday 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Hold a “Drive” for food, clothing, books, games, school supplies, cleaning supplies
Time coordinated with lead volunteer to hold the drive.
Help with organization and clean-up at East Price Hill Family Center
Time-flexible
- Organizing the clothing closet or basement storage areas
- Unboxing and organizing different learning items for programs
Ongoing Service
Joe Williams Family Center
Tuesdays & Thursdays 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- Supervising gym/basketball, leading activity centers, such as arts and crafts, gardening, games, etc. for youth ages 5 to 18.
Workforce Development Center
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- Tutor Spanish-speaking GED students
Annual Needs
Assist the Santa Maria team at one or more of our events including but not limited to:
- Spring Health Fair
- Annual Fall Fundraiser, Passport to Success
- Tax prep at Elder High School between January and April
Other
- Maintenance projects & landscaping
- Any special talents, skills, or experience you’d like to share—please let our volunteer coordinator know!
