Santa Maria Community Services to help Families Empower their Lives Financially by Hosting a Block Party that Includes Fifth Third Bank eBus

Santa Maria Community Services, Inc. is proud to announce that it will be hosting a Block Party at its East Price Hill location, 3208 Warsaw Avenue Cincinnati, OH 45205, on April 6, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year’s Block Party promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with the Fifth Third Bank Financial Empowerment Mobile, or eBus, set to be the main attraction. The eBus is a mobile financial services center that provides a range of financial education and empowerment resources to individuals and families in underserved communities.

The Financial Empowerment Mobile is a 40-foot customized vehicle transformed into a mobile classroom unit. The mobile operating unit is equipped with internet accessible computer workstations powered by satellite technology and staffed by Fifth Third Employees.

The purpose of the Financial Empowerment Mobile is to provide information and counseling on services, educational tools and financial products, to unbanked, underserved communities within Fifth Third’s footprint.

Throughout the year, in partnership with local and community organizations, the vehicle travels to low-and moderate income and high minority communities to offer much needed access to credit counseling, financial education, homeownership down payment assistance, online account opening tools, and many other bank products and services.

Residents will be able to board the Fifth Third Bank eBus for the following services:

  • Credit report review with a professional banker
  • Personal evaluation of finances
  • Financial education
  • Internet banking and bill payment tutorials
  • Online account openings
  • Loan application referrals

“We are happy to have the Fifth Third Financial Empowerment Bus join us for another year,” said Austin Tebelman, Financial Literacy Coordinator at Santa Maria Community Services, Inc. “This will be a great event that will include food, games, and even prizes. We are grateful to spend a day giving back to a community that gives us so much. This will be a great opportunity for people to learn how to control their finances as well as have some fun. People of all ages are welcome as we will have something for everybody.”
