Free Health Fair on April 23, 2022 at the Price Hill Recreation Center

Santa Maria Community Services, Inc. is pleased to announce its spring health fair. The free health fair will take place on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Price Hill Recreation Center located at 959 Hawthorne Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45205. Bilingual volunteers will be on hand to provide free translation services for Spanish speaking participants.

This spring’s health fair will include free COVID-19 test kits and vaccines (including second booster doses for those 50 and older). First-time Ohio Medicaid/My Care vaccine recipients will receive a $100 gift card (recipient must show health care card for verification). The St. Elizabeth mammogram van will be offering free mammograms by appointment (Call 513-557-7249 to register in English or Spanish). The health fair will include free food distribution, thanks to a partnership with the Freestore Foodbank. Participants will also receive a free meal from the Sabor S. Marcos food truck.

“It’s so important for community members to take good care of their health, and this free event will give Price Hill families tools to take good care of themselves,” said H.A. Musser, Jr., Santa Maria President and CEO. “In addition to free health exams, we will be offering hearing and vision screenings as well as HIV testing services through Caracole. The Price Hill Wellness Community Action Team will be presenting a free yoga demonstration as well, so we’re going to have some fun.”

There will be free parking at the Price Hill Recreation Center, plus additional parking will be available at ARCO (Price Hill Will), located at 3301 Price Avenue and Holy Family Parish, located at 3006 W 8th Street. The Cancer Justice Network will be offering a free shuttle service for participants from ARCO or Holy Family to the event. La Mega 97.7 will also be broadcasting live from the event.

Santa Maria would like to thank the partners who made this event possible: Cancer Justice Network, Caracole, Center for Closing the Health Gap, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati Recreation Commission, Freestore Foodbank, LifeCenter Organ Donor Network, Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati USA, Mount St. Joseph University, Ohio Department of Health, Price Hill Wellness Community Action Team, Price Hill Will, Sedamsville Civic Association, St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Talbert House, UC Health, and the Urban Appalachian Community Coalition.
