Santa Maria Community Services: Passport to Success 2024

Passport to Success

Santa Maria Community Services, Inc. announces the hosting of its second annual Passport to Success fundraising event, benefiting services for the Greater Price Hill Community.
Passport to Success will raise funds to provide vital services and resources for Greater Price Hill families in need. The event, presented by Nehemiah Manufacturing, will include raffles, dinner, drinks, and more, and will be dedicated to exploring the journey of mental health and wellness in the community. The event takes place on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Aston Oaks Golf Club located at 1 Aston Oaks Dr., North Bend, OH 45052.

Last year, Santa Maria Community Services was able to serve thousands of families, 98% of whom had an income below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. “This fundraiser will allow us to continue to assist more than 3,000 individuals each year in achieving their financial, educational and health goals and moving out of poverty toward self-sufficiency.” commented H.A. Musser, Jr., President and CEO of Santa Maria Community Services.

The fundraiser will be held at a time when mental health and wellness are an important topic for communities, with more than one in five adults and youth living with a mental illness each day in the United States according to the CDC. The event will feature local Cincinnati news personality, Lauren Minor, as emcee, Mental Performance Coach of FC Cincinnati, David Da Silva as its guest speaker. “I’ve been fascinated by performance and the power of the mind since I was a teenager aiming to become a professional soccer player,” said Da Silva. “I’m always eager to share the skills and insights I’ve been blessed to develop over the past two decades with anyone interested in improving their performance and thinking differently. The ‘Passport to Success’ event is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate achievements, reflect, and build community, and I’m excited to contribute in any way I can.”

Santa Maria would like to issue special thanks to its 2024 Ambassador level sponsor, Nehemiah Manufacturing. “We could not succeed without the generosity of leading sponsors like Nehemiah Manufacturing,” said Mr. Musser. “They have been a generous supporter of Santa Maria’s programs over the years and their contribution, as well as that of many other sponsors and supporters, is vital to continuing our important work.”
