Santa Maria Provides Vital Support to Families on the Verge of Homelessness with Help from a $25,000 Grant from The Sutphin Family Foundation

CINCINNATI, OH – Santa Maria Community Services, Inc. announced its commitment to assisting families on the brink of homelessness, made possible, in part, by a $25,000 grant generously provided by The Sutphin Family Foundation.

Santa Maria’s Stable Families program is dedicated to aiding families facing the imminent threat of losing their stable housing. The program offers an array of resources aimed at achieving stabilization. Support services include family counseling, advocacy on behalf of families, assistance in negotiating with landlords and relevant entities to help families maintain their residences, guidance in accessing healthcare resources, locating afterschool programs, and finding specialized services for children with unique needs. The program also offers short-term financial support for rent, transportation, utility bills, household budgeting assistance, and facilitates connections to resources and support networks to avert future crisis situations.

H.A. Musser, Jr., President and CEO of Santa Maria, expressed his gratitude for the Sutphin Family Foundation’s generous grant, saying, “This generous grant from the Sutphin Family Foundation will be utilized to aid families facing the imminent loss of housing. Santa Maria’s Stable Families program transforms lives by addressing challenges related to budgeting, housing, healthcare, and childcare. We deeply appreciate The Sutphin Family Foundation’s support in these vital efforts.”
